Spring Quilt Market 2016

It’s super hard to believe that Spring Quilt Market 2016 was more than a week ago.

Here’s the booth shot. Let’s just say it was part closet, part living room and full-on fabric and quilt explosion. All good things.

I really wanted to show off my new fabric Euclid, my new patterns Hesperides and Crew, and have some fun with all of it. Because fabric and quilts are fun.

I had tons of projects, many of which were from the Euclid Lookbook plus some more. I’ve been pretty excited about Euclid and even more excited about using it as an excuse to sew up all kinds of things. In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more specifics about the projects, but in the meantime here are some (slightly random) visuals from the show.

The colours of euclid are beautiful and I don’t make garments very often but I should so that I can make them with your fabric.

You can totally quilt with euclid too, Karen! 🙂 It quilts beautifully. So glad you like it–thank you!

[…] The projects on the cover are for some shams–a perfectly-sized project to bite off relatively easily, but there are quilt sizes included as well. In fact, a wall-hanging-sized version was the last sample that I finished for my booth at Spring Quilt Market. […]

[…] after finishing up these 3 Everglade Quilt shams that I eagerly made and used in my booth at Spring Quilt Market. (For anyone counting, I had 5 pillow shams in the booth including my 2 hesperides shams. Clearly, […]

  3. Euclid Hesperides Quilt. - carolyn friedlander - August 9, 2016

[…] I’m not totally sure why this is, but I will say that I struggled (in a good way) with the layout of these pieces and blocks for this quilt-sized version for a while. I cut the pieces out soon after making the shams, and then continued shuffling things around and reworking the direction for weeks and weeks while finishing other projects in the meantime. This was the very last thing that I finished before heading out the door to the last Quilt Market. […]
