Elate Quilt Pattern

Elate makes simple squares exciting (and efficient!) by way of strip piecing. This project can work well with large prints, bold colors, high- and low- contrast fabrics to soften or emphasize the geometry and design.

This is a scrap-friendly, mix-and-match project that can also work well with just two fabrics or colors. Depending on your mood, you can embrace maximalism or minimalism.

Project Sizes

72" x 84" (Large), 36" x 48" (Small), 60" x 72" (Medium), 96" x 96" (Extra-Large)

Fabric

Works well with Scraps, Fat Quarters (18" x 22"), and yardage.

Use bits of many different things or focus on just a few of your favorites; this design is ready for any direction you want to take it!

Since going to print, we've discovered some errors with regard to the Extra-Large project size. These corrections are noted below. Note that all other sizes are correct, and this only applies to the first print edition of the pattern. If you purchased the PDF, you can always re-download the current version for the update.
