Sew Fine Thread Gloss

Why condition your threads? The short answer is that you'll have fewer knots in your thread when doing any kind of handwork. It makes a difference!

Why did you collaborate with Sew Fine Thread Gloss? I LOVE the Sew Fine product! Plus, I think the scents are really fun. (If you aren't into scents, we carry the unscented Natural variety for just that reason here.) To read more about our collaboration and about my love for their product look here.

How do you use Sew Fine Thread Gloss? After cutting your length of thread, slide it across the wax with your thumb applying a light pressure so the thread makes contact with the wax. I usually drag the thread across the wax 2-3 times before using a garment knot to finish. Thread your needle and get to stitching!

How does the thread gloss look and feel? Sew Fine Thread Gloss is made from minimally processed beeswax, and so you can anticipate a firm texture. When using it, the coating on your thread shouldn't be anything too visually obvious, but instead it will make the thread feel just slightly tacky. It may seem subtle, but it does add strength.

How do I find out more about Sew Fine Thread Gloss? They have a FANTASTIC FAQ page full of helpful information. Check it out here.
